Research work

Research work is not only a key part of my professional life, but also my great passion. My research interests focus on two principal areas:

• innovation and competitiveness of economies and businesses,

• foreign direct investment and international trade, including the influence of technology on these.

Research projects

I have carried out more than 80 research projects, including 20 international ones. Almost half of my projects have been financed with external funds obtained through competitive procedures. These have included grants secured under European Union programs (such as the 6th Framework Programme, Horizon 2020, COST, and European Commission tenders), a Bloomberg Foundation grant, grants from Poland’s National Science Center, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education in Warsaw, and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA).
